1. What materials do you use to finish your guitars?
I use nitrocellulose lacquer exclusively on all guitars. A lacquer finish takes a bit longer to apply, cure, and "rub out" (as opposed to the newer poly finishes), but is well worth the effort and the wait. Nitro lacquer is just another one of those things that adds to the supreme tone of a guitar.
2. What do you mean when you say that you "custom build" guitars?
I build guitars to customer specs; the type of guitar that you can't find hanging on a rack in your local guitar shop. I use familiar body and neck styles, but add your custom features.
3. How long will it take to get my guitar once the order is placed?
The average time for delivery is 8 to 10 weeks after the initial deposit is received.
4. Do you cut/build your bodies and necks from scratch?
A very talented guy by the name of Tommy Rosamond builds my bodies and necks (from scratch) for me. Tommy and I have been working together on guitar projects for several years now. He's a woodworking wizard. I tell him what I need, and he can deliver! Why would I wanna change that?
5. Do you have a price list for your "stock" model guitars?
Each customer wants their guitar different in one way or another, so I try to stay away from standard pricing. I will, however, be posting pictures and prices of some select guitars that I have built, so that a general idea of pricing will be available.
6. Do you plan to build a "cheap" model of Burnstone guitars?
No. Cheaply built guitars are available in every corner guitar shop in the world. I can only build so many guitars, and I plan for them all to be top quality.
7. Are their any dealers that carry Burnstone Custom Guitars?
Currently, there are no dealers that offer Burnstone guitars.
